About Shankarrao Ursal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research Center
Shankarrao Ursal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research Center, Khardi, Pune, was established with the inspiration and motivation of Late Prof. Ramakrishna More, former President of Pune District Education Association (PDEA).
The college was founded to address the lack of higher education institutions in the rapidly developing areas of Sangvi, Aundh, Baner, Wakad, Kalewadi, Pimple Gurav, Pimple Nilakh, and Thergaon , serving predominantly middle-class and economically weaker sections.
Access to higher education was a challenge—especially for girls— as senior colleges were located over 10 km away. The institution was established to bridge this gap and promote inclusive education.
