Introduction
Research is the backbone of academics. The institute aims to create and support a research culture for developing and promoting scientific temper and research aptitude among faculty and students.
The Research Advisory Committee (RAC) promotes research activities and collaborations. Research and development activities disseminate new knowledge, promote innovation, and motivate better learning.
Objectives
- Provide support for faculty and researchers in their research activities.
- Ensure publications are in quality journals (Scopus/Web of Science/UGC).
- Nurture an environment for socially useful research with commercialization potential.
- Guide faculty to apply for externally funded projects (UGC, AICTE, DST, etc.).
Research Development Policies
- Organize seminars with industry experts and eminent academicians.
- Industrial training/visits for students & faculty to learn latest technologies.
- Encourage faculty to pursue Ph.D. qualifications.
- Maintain online subscription to scientific journals (DELNET).
- Motivate faculty & students to present research in conferences (IPA, IPC).
- Encourage funded research projects and peer-reviewed publications.
Code of Ethics
The institute promotes integrity, honesty, transparency, and academic freedom in research. Researchers are expected to follow best practices and ethical guidelines from research proposal preparation to publication.
Guidelines for Submission & Authorship
- Work must not have been published previously or under consideration elsewhere.
- Copyright must be respected; approval from all co-authors is required.
- Authors must have substantial and intellectual contributions.
- Changes in authorship require justification and consent of all parties.
Ethical Issues in Research Publication
- Data fabrication or falsification.
- Duplicate submission/publication.
- Plagiarism in text, figures, or ideas.
- Authorship issues (ghost or gift authorship).
- Undeclared conflict of interest.
- Use plagiarism detection tools like Crossref or iThenticate.
